ESS Technical Manager - MENA, JinkoSolar
Hamza Smadi is an Electrical Engineer with over a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector. He is currently holding the Technical Manager position for the ESS division in the MENA region at Jinko Solar. Hamza finished his Master of Science degree at Freiburg University in Germany with specialization in Energy Systems & Green Hydrogen design optimizations. His interests are mainly in Energy Modeling, Energy Storage Systems & Green Hydrogen, and he has some research articles and papers available on the internet concerning these topics.
With the rise of renewable energy adoption in Saudi Arabia, energy storage, particularly, is becoming increasingly crucial to ensure grid stability and energy reliability. This session will explore the role of BESS in supporting renewable integration, discuss regulatory and market drivers, and highlight the best BESS procurement practices.
