Theo Xin is the Head of Product&Technology for the Middle East and Africa region of Trina Solar. Theo holds the degree in New Energy Engineering and a Master's degree in Innovation management, he worked in the wind power industry before joining the photovoltaic industry. After that in Trinasolar he spent a significant amount of time working on solar module products and technology. He has worked in Europe, China, and in the Middle East and Africa.
The Middle East is positioning itself as a key player in the global solar supply chain with recent announcements of large-scale manufacturing facilities. This session will highlight major developments, including new cell and module factories, as well as polysilicon production plans by major manufacturers. We will discuss the implications of these projects for job creation and investment opportunities in the local markets, as well as the strategic advantages for developers, EPC contractors, and investors in the region.
